Job summary

Sage Haus is seeking a proactive Household Manager / Family Assistant to support a busy family in Menlo Park, CA. This part-time role (20 hours/week) offers flexible hours Mon–Fri with occasional nights and weekends, $50–$55/hr, ASAP start.

You will oversee daily household tasks, shopping, event coordination, meal prep, and child-related support while maintaining a smoke-free, cat-friendly home. CPR/First Aid preferred; US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain a smoke-free environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation and personal vehicle.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Fragrance-free preferred.
• Must love cats.
• Vaccinations up to date per guidelines (COVID-19, flu, MMR) with applicable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain household organization systems.
• Daily resets and prep for cleaners; light tidying; seasonal swaps.
• Prepare and coordinate ad hoc donation drop-offs; assist with travel packing.
• Manage pantry, supplies, and subscriptions; return/dry cleaning tasks.
• Oversee family calendar; coordinate events and appointments.
• Be present for deliveries, vendor visits, and contractor coordination.
• Assist with meal prep, packing lunches, grocery shopping, and kitchen upkeep.
• Handle laundry, linen rotation, ironing, and closet organization.
• Backup childcare for nanny; support packing and kids’ needs.
• Coordinate pet care for the cat and arrange vet visits as needed.
• Assist in planning two annual hosting events, rentals, and vendor communication.
