Job summary

Sage-Haus is seeking a part-time House Manager/Family Assistant in San Francisco, CA 94114. The role runs about 20 hours weekly with a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, flexible days, and occasional evenings. Compensation is $43-$48 per hour, with origin ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Maintain a smoke-free and fragrance-free environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Warm and friendly with kids; comfortable around cats.
• Reliable transportation preferred for errands; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs throughout the day.
• Vaccinations up to date per AA pediatric and CDC guidelines; subject to legal accommodations.
• CPR and first aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain household organization systems throughout the home.
• Perform daily resets and prepare the home for cleaners.
• Handle light tidying including dishes, surfaces, and vacuuming high-traffic areas.
• Handle minor maintenance tasks such as changing batteries, light bulbs, and smoke detectors.
• Support event, holiday, and guest prep.
• Assist with unpacking after travel.
• Manage seasonal clothing, decor, and bedding swaps.
• Wash, fold, organize, and put away laundry; iron and provide garment care.
• Rotate linens every few weeks.
• Restock pantry, fridge, supplies; manage shopping lists.
• Provide light supervision and backup childcare as needed.
• Assist with school pickups/drop-offs using family vehicle; prepare backpacks.
• Prepare school lunches and healthy after-school snacks.
• Provide evening coverage for bath and dinner when needed.
• Prepare batch and fresh dinners three times per week; meals ready to eat.
• Follow dietary preferences for family meals.
• Grocery shopping, kitchen cleanup and maintenance.
• Occasional deep cleans of appliances and spaces.
• Schedule routine vehicle maintenance and manage vehicle upkeep.
• Interface with cleaners, contractors and vendors as needed.
