Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. This per diem/casual role has hours as needed on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, not exceeding 19 hours per week.

Responsibilities include venipuncture, specimen collection for various tests, data entry, billing support, and travel to other sites as needed. The position requires a high school diploma and a phlebotomy certification or training, or 6 months of phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program or 6 months’ experience as a phlebotomist.
• Willingness to travel to additional sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
