Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly learn operation of multiple finishing or bindery machines while maintaining production pace.
• Familiarity with raw materials and substrates and their performance characteristics.
• No color blindness and good visual acuity; precise manual dexterity and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Program (set up) and run jobs on various finishing and binding machines according to job specifications.
• Follow shop schedule and supervisor's direction in prioritization of tasks.
• Perform regular and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Properly load, identify, and stage work in process prior to, during and after completion
• Record all activities in shop data collection system.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff as needed.
• Maintain a safe and orderly working environment
• Perform other duties as assigned.
