Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA, is seeking a Bindery Specialist to perform finishing tasks such as cutting, folding, binding, and packaging of print jobs.

You will operate machines, inspect materials, and troubleshoot to prevent rework, meeting customer specifications and deadlines. This full-time onsite role requires a high school diploma, good math and measuring skills, and the ability to read a ruler.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Commercial print bindery experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read a ruler and perform basic geometry for cutting and setup.

Responsibilities

• Cutting: verify paper stock and cut to size per job specs.
• Creasing: crease materials at specified positions.
• Folding: fold and trim to final size per specs.
• Book binding: saddle stitch or perfect bind and trim for packaging.
• Die cutting: die cut the printed piece per specs.
• Tabbing: place mail tabs on mail-related pieces.
• Documentation: package final product and print required delivery information.
• Willing to learn new systems and teach others.
• Team-oriented with adherence to Liberty University policies.
