Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. We offer a $1,000 sign-on bonus and flexible schedules.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with paid training, health benefits, paid time off, mileage reimbursement and opportunities for growth. We value compassionate, reliable team members who want to make a positive impact.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or completion of a state-approved training program or demonstrate skills and pass a written competency test.
• Successful background check and required in-service trainings.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, inspection and registration.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, or transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
