Job summary

Help at Home is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide one‑on‑one support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, both at home and in the community.

Starting pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour, with a $1,000 sign‑on bonus and a path for training, benefits, and career growth. Applicants must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and be committed to dignity and independence for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or completion of a state‑approved training program.
• Successful background check and required in‑service trainings.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance, inspection and registration.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one support to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Follow the client’s ISP and report back to the IDD Program Specialist.
• Assist with daily living skills (cooking, cleaning, personal care, transportation).
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Promote independence and self‑advocacy; document care and progress accurately.
• Communicate with team to ensure consistent, quality support.
