Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals DSPs to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Allendale, NJ. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

As a DSP you will join a team that values compassion, reliability, and professional growth. Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity) with a $1000 signing bonus paid in installments, plus comprehensive benefits and paid

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation hygiene and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation employment and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members families and external parties as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
