Job summary
Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently and with dignity.
Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity), plus a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments. We offer flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding & training, and growth opportunities across NJ.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old and reliable.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and transportation.
- Able to pass background, driving, and registry checks.
- Willingness to assist with personal care tasks when needed.
- Experience with disabilities not required; paid training provided.
Responsibilities
- Build positive relationships and help clients achieve goals.
- Assist with daily living activities and household tasks.
- Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
- Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
- Encourage independence and skill development.
- Monitor health and safety in a supportive environment.
- Communicate with the Abound team, families, and case managers.
- Maintain documentation and schedules.
- Participate in ongoing training and development.
