Job summary

Help at Home is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You’ll work one-on-one to promote independence and dignity, with flexible schedules that fit your life.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living skills, participating in community activities, documenting progress, and collaborating with a care team. A high school diploma and background check are required; driving is often necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, or transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities, and progress.
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support.
