Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You’ll provide one-on-one assistance with daily living skills, encourage participation in social activities, and help clients achieve personal goals while documenting progress and communicating with the care team. A compassionate, reliable candidate with a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Successful background check and required training.
• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities.
• Compassion, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community.
• Support daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, or transportation.
• Encourage participation in social and community activities.
• Help individuals achieve personal goals and celebrate progress.
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy.
• Document care, activities, and progress; communicate with the team.
