Job summary

Good Samaritan in De Smet, SD seeks a Nursing Assistant to deliver resident-centered care and daily living support under RN supervision. You will assist with basic nursing tasks, documentation, and care activities in a compassionate, Christian environment.

The role requires CNA certification or enrollment in a program within four months, with a flexible schedule and weekend coverage. Eligible employees may receive benefits and a sign-on bonus of $10,000.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months.
• Annual competency testing and at least 12 hours of continuing education are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, meals and mobility; document vital signs as needed.
• Maintain infection prevention policies and proper PPE usage.
• Assist with wellness programs and participate in department tasks as needed.
