Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine nursing care under supervision. The role requires CNA licensure, at least 6 months of CNA experience or clinical CNA training, and a strong desire to serve the ill and elderly.

Candidates must be fluent in English, able to interact tactfully with residents and families, and maintain patience and emotional stability while delivering care. Health and teamwork are essential in this demanding environment.

Qualifications

Must be a licensed CNA.
Minimum 6 months CNA experience or clinical CNA training.
Desire to serve the ill, aged and infirm.
Must read, write and speak English.
Ability to interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors and staff.
Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
Patience, tact, cheerful disposition and emotional stability.
Able to relate to ill, disabled, elderly and emotionally upset residents.
Must be in good general health.

Responsibilities

Perform duties as assigned per facility policies and nursing care procedures.
Make resident rounds at shift start and every two hours thereafter to administer quality care.
Verify resident identification before administering care or serving meals.
Report missing ID bands to the admission coordinator.
Make beds and clean bedside and overbed tables.
Ensure water pitchers are cleaned, filled with fresh water, and within resident reach.
Carry out other duties as directed by Charge Nurse, RN Supervisor, Director of Nurses or Administrator.
