Job summary

OneWell Health Care in Huntington Beach, CA, seeks a dedicated Caregiver / Personal Attendant to provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with IDD and autism in home and community settings. The role requires assisting with personal care, mobility, and daily activities while promoting independence and safety.

The position operates in home-based and community-based care, with responsibilities including documenting services, following care plans, and complying with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience as Personal Attendant/DSP/caregiver preferred.
• English proficiency required; bilingual a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained within designated timeframe.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility per care plans.
• Observe health changes and document in logs; report to supervisors.
• Provide medication assistance as authorized and support daily living tasks.
• Ensure safety and proper body mechanics; assist with transfers.
