Job summary

OneWell Health Care in California seeks a Personal Attendant to provide compassionate, high‑quality daily living support to individuals with IDD and Autism, in homes or care facilities.

You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, appointments, and transportation while maintaining detailed records and following care plans and HIPAA standards. A valid driver's license and ability to lift/move clients are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous experience as a personal attendant or in a healthcare setting is advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve comfort and quality of life.
• Support mobility and transfers using proper safety equipment.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Assist with self-administration of medications per care plans and physician orders.
• Monitor and report changes in clients' condition to healthcare team or family.
• Perform light housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily records of care and client condition updates.
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists for effective care.
• Follow HIPAA confidentiality standards.
