Job summary

OneWell Health Care is seeking a compassionate Personal Attendant to provide direct, hands-on support to individuals with IDD and Autism in home and community settings in California. You will assist with personal care, mobility, meals, and medication observation while promoting independence and safety.

This flexible, field-based role requires ability to lift and transfer participants, reliable transportation, CPR/First Aid certification, and clear documentation of activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience as a Personal Attendant, Direct Support Professional (DSP), or caregiver preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD and Autism is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification (required or must be obtained within designated timeframe)
• Understanding of safe lifting and transfer techniques
• English proficiency (verbal and written) is required. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, personal care, mobility, meal preparation, and medication observation as authorized.
• Observe and report changes in participants' health, behavior, and well-being; maintain accurate documentation.
• Follow behavior support and safety plans and ensure services comply with regulations.
• Transport participants when authorized and participate in required training.
• Perform light housekeeping related to participant care.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
