Job summary

BrightStar Care is seeking compassionate and dependable Part-Time Home Health Aides to join our team. In this one-on-one caregiving role, you will provide personalized support to clients in their homes, assisting with personal cares, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship, with flexible scheduling including early mornings, evenings after 4 PM, and weekends.

This position offers meaningful work, opportunities for advancement, and weekly pay with a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient and caring by nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care in home health or similar settings.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance and own vehicle.
• Ability to work 2 weekend days per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Transport clients to appointments or social outings as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or needs to the RN Case Manager.
• Collaborate with Care coordination to update the plan of care.

• Premium Short Shift Pay: We offer a variety of shift Lengths ranging from 1 hour to 12 hours. Our 1-hour shifts get paid at $30 per hour and hour 2-hour shifts get paid at $22.50 an hour. Any shift 3 hours or longer is paid at a base rate between $19-$22 based on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and conversation to enhance the lives of our clients.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and errands.
• Provide physical assistance such as bathing, dressing, grooming, transferring, and ambulation.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social outings, providing transportation as needed.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health, behavior, and needs.
• Act as a member of the Care coordination team to communication with the RN Case Manager to update the plan of care.

Requirements:

• A compassionate, patient, and caring nature.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience providing care to clients in a hands-on environment (Home Health, Assisted Living, Group Home, Hospital Setting)
• Reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license with Auto Insurance.
• Negative TB test or Cleared Chest-Xray.
• Availability to work 2 weekend days per month.
