EKG Security, Inc. in New London, NC, seeks a Security Flex Officer for on-call, open availability. $20/hour with benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and paid vacations.

Responsibilities include fixed and roving patrols, top‑notch customer service, incident reporting, and enforcing client standards. Ideal candidates have 2+ years security experience or military/LEO, a valid license, and the ability to work any shift in diverse weather.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old or the minimum age required by the state.
• Customer service experience
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED; associate's degree preferred
• 2+ years of security experience and/or military/LEO
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge to operate the radio, telephone, and console monitors
• Authorization to legally work in the United States
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation that allows for short-notice response
• Ability to complete crisis prevention training and site-specific training before serving as a qualified security officer
• Ability to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours)
• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to reach over your head with 10-25 lb loads
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, with loads up to 50 lbs
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and use ladders
• Ability to work at a desk and use a keyboard
• Ability to work any shift, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including weekends and holidays
