Job summary

EKG Security, Inc. in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Security Flex Officer to provide unarmed protection across client sites and deliver professional customer service. This role offers flexible hours and opportunities to grow with a mission-driven team.

You will perform fixed and roving patrols, observe and report incidents, respond to emergencies, and maintain clear, timely reports. Must meet licensing and background checks and be able to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old or minimum age per state
• Customer service experience
• Valid driver: must be able to drive
• High school diploma or GED; associate: degree preferred
• 2+ years of security experience and/or military/LEO
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge to operate radio, telephone, and console monitors
• Authorization to legally work in the United States
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation for short-notice response in Brunswick area
• Ability to complete crisis prevention training and site-specific training
• Ability to pass any state-required training or qualifications for licensing
• Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours)
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to reach overhead with 10-25 lb loads
• Ability to walk stairs with loads up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work any shift, 24/7 including weekends/holidays

Responsibilities

• Observe, deter, and report unauthorized or unusual activities at the assigned site.
• Respond quickly and effectively to critical situations.
• Read and write detailed, accurate reports on incidents and daily activities.
• Enforce client procedures, regulations, and standards with professionalism.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE AS OUR SECURITY FLEX OFFICER:

• 18+ years old or the minimum age required by the state
• Customer service experience
• Valid driver's license
• High school diploma or GED; possessing an associate's degree is preferred
• 2+ years of security experience and/or military/LEO
• Great communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge to operate the radio, telephone, and console monitors
• Authorization to legally work in the United States
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Access to reliable transportation that allows for short-notice response throughout the Brunswick area
• Ability to complete crisis prevention training and site-specific training before serving as a qualified security officer
• Ability to pass any state-required training or other qualifications for licensing
• Ability to stand for long periods of time (8+ hours)
• Ability to work outside in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to reach over your head with 10-25 lb loads
• Ability to walk up and down stairs, with loads up to 50 lbs
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and use ladders
• Ability to work at a desk and use a keyboard
• Ability to work any shift, 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including weekends and holidays
