Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on a fleet of vehicles. The role involves inspecting, lubricating, and servicing fleet vehicles, checking fluids and filters, and assisting senior technicians with repairs while maintaining accurate maintenance records.

The position requires mechanical aptitude, basic diagnostic skills, and the ability to read repair manuals and wiring diagrams.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to use repair manuals and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles safely and per regulations and policies.
• Inspect, lubricate, service fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules.
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components during service.
• Check and change fluids and filters in vehicles.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and maintenance.
• Identify and report worn or failed components and leaks.
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders and parts usage.
