Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform scheduled maintenance on our fleet. You will inspect, lubricate, and service vehicles, follow safety procedures, and assist senior technicians as needed.

This role requires mechanical aptitude, basic repair knowledge, and the ability to read repair manuals and wiring diagrams. You will maintain records, support other shop duties, and work flexible hours to keep operations running.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
• Ability to read repair manuals and diagrams.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles per schedules.
• Inspect, lubricate, and service vehicles; check fluids and filters.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments to vehicle systems.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders and parts usage.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Support in other shop duties as required.
