Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on our fleet. The role involves inspecting and servicing fleet vehicles, performing minor repairs, and assisting senior technicians.

The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, familiarity with repair manuals, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Qualified candidates should have 1–2 years of maintenance experience, familiarity with diesel-powered vehicles, and

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of repair/maintenance experience preferred
• Diesel-powered vehicles experience preferred
• General knowledge of truck components and systems
• Knowledge of Lock/Tag Out procedures or ability to learn them

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safe manner per regulations and policies
• Inspect, lubricate, and service vehicles per maintenance schedules
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components during service
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters
• Inspect vehicle electrical, air, and brake systems
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and maintenance tasks
• Maintain records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage
