Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Broadview Heights, OH is looking for a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform routine fleet PM, inspections, and minor repairs. You will follow maintenance schedules, service vehicles, and keep records of work performed.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of vehicle maintenance experience, diesel knowledge, and strong communication skills. This full-time role supports a safety-conscious shop with opportunities to grow with the team.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of vehicle maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with diesel powered vehicles preferred.
• General knowledge of truck components and systems.
• Knowledge and understanding of Lock/Tag Out procedures or the ability to learn those procedures.
• Must read and speak the English language.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance of fleet vehicles in a safety-conscious manner per schedules.
• Inspect, lubricate, and service fleet vehicles according to maintenance plans.
• Grease, oil, and lubricate components during service.
• Check, fill, and change fluids and filters for fleet vehicles.
• Inspect electrical, air, and brake systems and perform minor repairs.
• Assist senior technicians with repairs and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate records of time, orders, and parts usage.
• Ensure safety devices on vehicles are functioning properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and work areas.
