Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a Vehicle Preventive Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on our fleet and to help keep our essential services running safely and reliably. You will inspect, service, and repair a variety of fleet vehicles, following schedules and safety policies.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, minor repairs, parts usage tracking, and collaborating with senior technicians.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical skills and ability to perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Familiarity with repair manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostics tools.
• Ability to read and follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles in a safe, compliant manner.
• Inspect and service fleet vehicles per maintenance schedules; grease, oil, and replace fluids as needed.
• Identify worn components and assist with repairs under supervision.
• Maintain accurate records of time, maintenance orders, and parts usage.
• Assist in other areas of the vehicle maintenance shop as needed.
