Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician PDOT in Houston, TX. This role ensures safety and reliability by performing thorough inspections and quality repairs on revenue service vehicles.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, ASE certifications preferred, and a valid DOT Medical Card. You will maintain vehicles to SP+ Fleet Services standards and may work varying shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an approved technical school program is a plus.
• Prior experience as a mechanic or vehicle maintenance technician preferred.
• Possess or willing to obtain ASE certifications.
• Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Must have all necessary hand tools.
• Shift availability may include 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all vehicles to ensure safety, reliability and passenger comfort.
• Perform quality maintenance inspections and repairs on all assigned vehicles.
• Execute maintenance duties in a safe, cost-effective manner.
• Maintain technical competency and participate in ongoing training.

Education
