Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to perform thorough inspections and safe repairs on our revenue vehicle fleet. You will maintain vehicles to SP+ Fleet Services standards while participating in ongoing training to stay current with technology.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ASE certifications or willingness to obtain them, a valid driver’s license, and a DOT medical card. Shifts may vary by location and may include non-daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Degree or equivalent required. Graduation from approved program at technical school a plus.
• Certifications: Possess or willing to obtain all applicable ASE certifications.
• License: Must possess a valid state-issued driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Appearance/Physical: Must have all necessary hand tools and meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and passenger comfort per SP+ Fleet Services standards.
• Perform quality maintenance inspections and repairs on all assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out maintenance duties in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Maintain technical competency and engage in ongoing training and development programs.
