Job summary

Metropolis Technologies' SP+ division in San Diego is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician. You will inspect, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and reliability for revenue service, following SP+ Fleet Services standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ASE certification willingness, CDL with Passenger Endorsement if needed, and a valid DOT Medical Card. You must have your own hand tools and be ready for second/third shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASE certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• CDL with passenger endorsement if required for shuttle operation.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Own hand tools required.
• Willingness to work 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Ability to read and write basic materials and communicate with others.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Experience with heavy fleet vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicles to ensure safety, reliability, and passenger comfort per SP+ Fleet Services standards.
• Perform quality maintenance inspections and repairs on all assigned vehicles and equipment.
• Work safely and cost-effectively; adhere to training programs and standards.
• Maintain technical competency and participate in ongoing company training.
