Auto Warehousing Company, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Fleet Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of 700+ vehicles and equipment across the United States and Canada.

The role requires strategic procurement, maintenance, licensing, and vendor management to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency. You will drive replacement planning, telematics utilization, and KPI tracking while aligning fleet activities with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fleet management, transportation, logistics, or related operations.
• Experience managing 500+ vehicles across multiple regions.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Department of Transportation, Transport Canada, and state/provincial regulations.
• Experience with fleet management software and telematics platforms.
• Proven vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret fleet data and KPIs.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the fleet maintenance program, including preventive schedules, repairs, and inspections.
• Manage breakdown response, roadside assistance, and high-priority repairs across multiple regions.
• Manage fleet service providers and vendor relationships, including service quality, performance, availability, and adherence to contractual requirements, in partnership with Procurement.
• Monitor fleet health using telematics and maintenance data to reduce downtime and extend vehicle life.
• Establish processes for vehicle assignment, driver accountability, vehicle inspections, maintenance reporting, and timely resolution of vehicle-related issues.
• Develop annual vehicle replacement plans based on mileage, hours, condition, and total cost of ownership.
