Job summary

J-Tech in Alaska is seeking an experienced Truck Mechanic to support the reliability, safety, and performance of our fleet. This role performs scheduled maintenance, diagnoses mechanical issues, and completes timely repairs on medium-heavy duty trucks and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety and quality standards, and the ability to minimize equipment downtime to support efficient operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 3 years of related experience
• Experience working on medium- and/or heavy-duty trucks
• Proficient with diesel and gasoline engines and systems
• Valid Class C driver's license and current Medical DOT card
• Pennsylvania State Inspection License required
• Must supply own tools

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on medium-heavy duty trucks
• Inspect vehicle components to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and determine appropriate repairs
• Repair or replace defective parts in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Verify proper clearances, dimensions, and functionality of repaired components
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs
• Comply with all safety procedures and quality assurance standards
