Job summary

J.O Fleet Service in Alaska is seeking experienced Diesel Truck & Trailer Technicians to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work in a modern shop with advanced diagnostic equipment, performing PM services and complex repairs.

Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years in diesel truck repair, strong diagnostic skills, and experience with major engine brands. CDL is a plus; most importantly, reliable teamwork and safety come first.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of diesel truck repair experience.
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Paccar, Caterpillar, and International engines is a plus.
Knowledge of electrical diagnostics using OEM software is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus.
Own basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair Class 6–8 diesel trucks and trailers.
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) services.
Troubleshoot and repair engines, electrical systems, air brake systems, suspension, steering, HVAC, and driveline components.
Perform DOT inspections and ensure repairs meet FMCSA standards.
Diagnose and repair ABS, aftertreatment, DEF, and emissions systems.
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
