Job summary

Native Maine is seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to oversee the company’s transportation network, safety programs, and fleet operations in Westbrook, ME. This role ensures DOT compliance, coordinates maintenance, and drives on-time delivery while controlling costs.

You will hire and onboard drivers, manage DVIRs, routing, and safety training, and collaborate with insurance and maintenance teams. Strong organizational skills and 2–5 years of management experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of managerial experience minimum
• CDL license is a plus but not required
• Familiarity with FMCSR regulations
• Experience with driver and fleet issue troubleshooting
• Proficient typing, email, and MS Office
• Detailed and organized record keeping; accountability mandatory

Responsibilities

• Directs and implements transportation network operations including safety and staff.
• Coordinate DVIRs, repairs, and fleet maintenance files.
• Hire drivers (CDL and non-CDL) and onboard new staff.
• Ensure DOT compliance and manage driver onboarding, safety training.
• Oversee daily truck routing and performance audits.
• Manage insurance coordination and incident claims when needed.
