Job summary

Concord Coach Lines is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead Maine staff across Portland, Bangor and Augusta terminals. You will manage staffing, training and performance while ensuring exceptional customer service and on-time trips.

Role requires hands-on operational leadership in hospitality/transportation, strong communication, and proficiency with Excel and AI tools. Collaboration with Concord HQ and local teams in NH is essential for optimized scheduling and cost control.

Qualifications

• 4-year college degree required; business focus preferred
• Hands-on operational management experience, hospitality/transportation or similar industry a plus
• Superior leadership and communications skills
• Computer proficiency; ability to learn industry-specific platforms; Excel and AI tools proficiency

Responsibilities

• Foster a supportive environment for staff; manage staffing needs, training, retention and personnel in Maine
• Oversee training, management, discipline and recognition of Maine staff in consultation with managers
• Ensure superior customer experience through detailed service execution; focus on punctual trips and helpful staff
• Coordinate with Concord operations and local staff to optimize schedules and coverage of work
• Oversee capital maintenance planning/projects in Maine and day-to-day expenses; coordinate with vendors
• Analyze workflows to identify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency
• Collaborate with Marketing to promote services in Maine
• Address elevated customer complaints to resolution
• Engage in strategic planning with VP-level staff across the company
• Oversee Maine operations including Bangor, Augusta, Portland terminals and coastal agencies
• Manage terminal staff including Terminal Managers, Ticket Agents, cleaning, grounds, mechanics, bus servicing and dock staff
• Work with Concord Coach Lines departments in Concord, NH (HR, Safety, Accounting, Fleet Maintenance, Operations, Marketing)
• Maintain external relationships and represent Concord in the community
