Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and equipment across locations. The role may require outdoor work, shift variations, and overtime with full-time attendance.

Responsibilities include basic repairs to spec, completing work orders, and maintaining safety protocols. The position offers company benefits and opportunities for advancement through the Technician Career Advancement program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with 1 year of experience in semi-tractor maintenance and/or training or military equivalent.
• Willingness to work outdoors, in the elements, or on multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience with DOT inspections, FHWA inspections, and air brakes is preferred.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and multitask.
• Basic English literacy and communication, able to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on tractors and related equipment per company specifications.
• Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Follow shop safety procedures and work across shifts as needed.
