J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform intermediate maintenance, service, and repair of tractors and related equipment.

The role involves troubleshooting, completing fleet maintenance processes, and ensuring units meet company specifications, with potential outdoor work and varying shifts including nights and weekends. Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1-2 years of experience in Semi-Tractor maintenance and repair and/or training and/or military equivalent experience; willingness to work outdoors and across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• DOT and FHWA inspections experience and/or DOT inspection familiarity is preferred.
• Basic tools are required to perform role; employee-provided tools or toolbox purchase program may apply.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate proficient technical knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs on tractors.
• Troubleshoot tractor issues and work independently; seek assistance as needed.
• Perform repairs to manufacturer specifications and complete work orders within standard repair times.
• Maintain safe shop practices and professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Assist with onboarding and mentoring of Tractor Technician trainees.
