Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform basic maintenance, service and repair of tractors and related equipment.

This full-time role may involve outdoor work, different shifts including nights and weekends, and overtime as needed. You will ensure units meet company specs and complete work orders efficiently. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in semi-tractor maintenance or equivalent, with basic tools and a willingness to work various shifts.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with 1 year of Semi-Tractor maintenance/repair or equivalent.
• Willing to work outdoors and across shifts including nights/weekends.
• Basic tools supplied by employee; toolbox program available in some locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, replace parts, and do basic repairs on tractors per spec.
• Work independently and seek assistance as needed.
• Follow shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt staff and customers.
• Complete work orders and adhere to standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
