Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Tractor Technician to perform basic maintenance and repair on tractors and equipment under close supervision.

This full-time role involves outdoor work and may include nights and weekends, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 9:00am–5:30pm in some cases. The technician will complete work orders, follow safety procedures, and ensure repairs meet company specs and warranty guidelines.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with 1 year of experience in semi-tractor maintenance or equivalent experience.
• Willing to work outdoors and across nights/weekends if needed.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate foundational technical knowledge of preventative maintenance and basic repairs on tractors and components.
• Work independently and seek assistance as needed.
• Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication with JB Hunt personnel and customers.
• Complete work orders and demonstrate proficiency in standard repair times and warranty guidelines.
