Job summary

BestDrive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental, is hiring a Tire Service Technician to mount, dismount, balance, and repair tires for commercial vehicles and off-the-road equipment. The role includes on-call emergency service rotations and maintaining tools and company policy documentation.

Eligible external candidates may receive a sign-on bonus based on level hired, paid after 30, 90, and 180 days upon meeting eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Ability to work on a team and independently.
• Ability to communicate, verbally and written, clearly and professionally with co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Mount/Dismount/Install tires & tire/wheel assemblies.
• Load/Unload tires on and off trucks.
• Follow procedures to inspect tires and wheels before and after service.
• Determine repairable tire conditions and perform repairs.
• Review work orders with supervisors.
• Document work performed accurately per policy.
• Operate heavy-duty tire service equipment and tools.
• Unbolt and re-bolt wheels.
• Mount/dismount off-the-road tires, including multi-piece rims.
• Perform emergency road service on nights/weekends on a rotating basis.
• Maintain service vehicle and equipment.
• Comply with OSHA safety requirements.
