Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking skilled technicians to install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, and related equipment across light-duty and fleet vehicles. You’ll work on wiring, testing, and diagnosing issues in mobile environments, with safety and quality a priority.

Ideal candidates have strong tool skills, wiring knowledge, and the ability to read diagrams. Travel is required to customer sites, with opportunities for training and career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a mobile environment.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostic, and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information, and service notes.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time installations.
• Occasionally work weekends or adjusted schedules to support customer projects, fleet installations, or business needs.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects, including occasional travel outside your assigned market.
