Job summary
Waste Pro is seeking an experienced diesel truck technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic and body systems on heavy- and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. You will follow Factory Service Manuals, perform safety checks, document repairs, and communicate with managers and drivers.
The role includes a monthly tool allowance up to $80 and eligibility for ASE certification support, with benefits such as health,
Qualifications
- Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy- and light-duty trucks.
- Ability to read and follow service manuals.
- Knowledge of SRTs and estimating time/materials.
- CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.
- Strong safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs to maximize safe operations.
- Communicates with managers/drivers about vehicle issues.
- Completes repair orders and DVIR paperwork.
- Follows safety policies and maintains a clean work area.
- Uses vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes.
- Performs safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
- Repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
- Maintains ethics and dependability.
