Job summary
Waste Pro is hiring a skilled technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems on diesel, gasoline, and CNG trucks. You will work with factory service data, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous operations in a dynamic fleet environment.
The role requires strong diagnostic ability, adherence to safety standards, and effective communication with drivers and supervisors.
Qualifications
- Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical and hydraulic systems on trucks.
- Proficient use of diagnostic tools and service manuals for repairs.
- Estimate time and materials for repairs and assist junior staff as needed.
- CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on equipment to maximize safety and productivity.
- Communicate issues with managers/drivers and discuss preventive techniques.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
- Follow safety policies and maintain clean, safe work areas.
- Use vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
- Conduct safety checks and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
- Maintain high ethics and dependability in all tasks.
