Job summary

Waste Pro seeks an experienced diesel/heavy-truck technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on our fleet. This role may involve welding and fabrication for gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems.

CDL Class B is preferred within 12 months. The Technician will work with modern equipment, use factory service manuals, and ensure safety checks are conducted.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of suspension, brake, electrical and hydraulic system inspection and repair.
• Ability to interpret service manuals and diagnose issues.
• Ability to estimate time and materials for repairs.
• Willingness to mentor assistants and shop helpers.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems and repair engines, transmissions, brakes and electrical systems on heavy/light trucks.
• Communicate issues to managers/drivers to prevent repeat repairs.
• Complete repair orders and paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
• Use vehicle diagnostics to identify failure modes and initiate repairs.
