Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves installing and supporting GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

If you’re an experienced mechanic expanding into fleet tech, your skills will transfer directly. You’ll work on wiring, testing connectivity, and documenting installations while traveling to customer sites for mobile projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems.
• Reads wiring diagrams and uses basic diagnostics.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and connections.
• Document installations with photos and notes.
• Travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
• Maintain safety and quality on first-time-right installations.
