Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role that installs and supports GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.

Your background in automotive, mechanical, electrical, or installation work will transfer to fleet tech, learning new technology along the way. You’ll travel to customer locations for mobile installations, document work with photos and

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
• Perform basic 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground, diagnostics.
• Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
• Test GPS connectivity, cameras, and system functionality.
• Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
• Document installations with photos and service notes.
• Travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
• Maintain safety, quality, right-first-time installations.
