Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves installing and supporting GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across vehicles and trailers.
Ideal candidates have automotive, mechanical, electrical, fleet, or installation background and a willingness to learn new technology. We offer training, overtime, and benefits from day one.
Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical or installation experience.
- Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-facing role requiring clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring tasks and connect power, ignition, grounds.
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
- Test connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
- Document installations with photos and service notes.
- Travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
