Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers.
Ideal candidates have hands-on automotive, electrical, or installation experience and are comfortable working in a mobile, customer-facing environment with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
Qualifications
- Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
- Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and basic diagnostics preferred.
- Willing to travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
- Perform 12V/24V wiring including power, ignition, ground, and diagnostic connections.
- Route and secure wiring for clean installations.
- Test connectivity and system functionality.
- Document installations with photos and service notes.
- Travel to customer locations for mobile installations.
- Maintain safety and high-quality, right-first-time installations.
