Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet tech across vehicles and trailers. You will perform 12V/24V wiring, route wiring, test systems, and diagnose issues, with travel to customer sites in a mobile role.

The position emphasizes hands-on electrical/mechanical work, adherence to safety and quality, and opportunities for ASE/I-CAR training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical experience required.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and follow technical instructions.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work around vehicles and trailers.
• Willingness to work in a mobile environment and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, ELDs, telematics, dash cameras, sensors and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers and other fleet assets.
• Perform 12V/24V wiring, including power, ignition, ground and trailer connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test devices and diagnose electrical, connectivity and installation issues.
• Document completed installations with photos, device information and service notes.
• Travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations and projects.
• Maintain safety, quality and right-first-time installations.
