Job summary

Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. The role supports mobile installations and requires hands-on automotive, electrical, and diagnostic skills.

You’ll work with 12V/24V wiring, route wiring neatly, test systems, and document installations while traveling to customer sites. Training and career growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive, electrical, mechanical, or installation experience.
• Background in automotive repair, automotive electrical, fleet maintenance, diesel/heavy-duty mechanics, or vehicle upfitting is encouraged.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and basic diagnostics.
• Willingness to learn new telematics technologies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
• Work on light-duty vehicles, trucks, tractors, trailers, and fleet assets.
• Perform 12V/24V wiring, power, ignition, ground, and diagnostic connections.
• Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
• Test connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
• Document installations with photos and service notes.
