Job summary
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking an Automotive Installation Technician to install and support GPS, telematics, cameras, sensors, and other fleet technology across cars, trucks, tractors, and trailers. This is a hands-on role for someone with an automotive or installation background who enjoys learning new technology.
You will travel to customer and fleet locations for mobile installations, maintain high safety and quality standards, and document all work with photos and notes.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, electrical, or installation work.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues.
- Professional communication and customer service abilities for on-site client interactions.
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot GPS, telematics, dash cameras, sensors, and tracking equipment.
- Work on light-duty vehicles, commercial trucks, tractors, trailers, and other fleet assets.
- Perform basic 12V/24V wiring and trailer connections.
- Route and secure wiring for clean, professional installations.
- Test GPS, cellular connectivity, cameras, sensors, and system functionality.
- Diagnose electrical, connectivity, and installation issues.
- Document completed installations with photos and service notes.
