Job summary

PepsiCo Inc. in Urbandale, IA is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Technician to keep our delivery fleet safe and on time. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a diverse mix of vehicles and equipment, with training provided and opportunities to grow your skills.

You will work Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with pay at $30.00 per hour. Strong ASE brakes/electrical/heavy duty certifications, a valid US license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Lift up to 50lbs (with or without accommodation)
• Reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without accommodation)
• Certifications: Brakes, ASE Electrical, ASE Heavy Duty
• At least 1 year of experience or training in hydraulic and air brake systems, after treatment and emissions repairs, driveline repairs, engine repairs, using diagnostic platforms, and welding

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs with independence
• Use leading-edge technology and programs for diagnostics (training provided)
• Work on diverse fleet vehicles: cars, light/heavy trucks, vans, forklifts
• Diagnose equipment/vehicle failures; disassemble, repair, reassemble parts
• Maintain accurate documentation in vehicle systems (work orders, records, parts, checklists) while following safety standards

What You'll Do

• Work with a high degree of independence while performing preventative maintenance and repairs
• Utilize leading-edge technology and programs to complete preventative maintenance and diagnostics (training provided)
• Leverage and grow your skills working on a diverse fleet automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts
• Diagnose equipment and vehicle failures; disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in vehicle systems (work orders, vehicle records, parts reconciliation, and checklists) while adhering to all safety standards and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Position must be able to lift up to 50lbs (with or without an accommodation)
• Position must be able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with or without an accommodation)
• Position requires the following certifications: Brakes, ASE Electrical, ASE Heavy Duty
