Job summary

PepsiCo in Wichita, KS is seeking a Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet, including light and heavy trucks, vans, and forklifts, ensuring brand products reach customers on time. You will work independently on preventative maintenance, use diagnostics platforms (training provided), and document work orders and parts.

This full-time role offers on-site work with competitive pay and benefits. On-the-job training is provided, with exposure to a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• Valid U.S. drivers license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs (with/without accommodation)
• Able to reach lift, carry, push and pull (with/without accommodation)
• Certifications: Brakes, ASE Electrical, ASE Heavy Duty
• At least 1 year of experience or training in hydraulic and air brake systems, aftertreatment and emissions repairs, driveline repairs, engine repairs, using diagnostic platforms, and welding

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics (training provided)
• Work on diverse fleet: light/heavy trucks, vans, forklifts
• Diagnose failures, disassemble/repair parts as needed
• Maintain documentation in vehicle systems (work orders, records, parts) and follow safety standards

Quick Look

• Pay: $31.00 per hour
• Location: Wichita, KS
• Work Days: Monday-Friday
• Start Time: 4:00 PM
• End Time: 12:30 AM

Maintain and repair fleet vehicles and equipment so beloved brands like Pepsi, Gatorade, and Aquafina reach communities safely and on time.

What You’ll Do

• Work with a high degree of independence while performing preventative maintenance and repairs
• Utilize leading-edge technology and programs to complete preventative maintenance and diagnostics (training provided)
• Leverage and grow your skills working on a diverse fleet automobiles, trucks (light and heavy), vans, and forklifts
• Diagnose equipment and vehicle failures; disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation in vehicle systems (work orders, vehicle records, parts reconciliation, and checklists) while adhering to all safety standards and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years or older
• Valid U.S. driver's license
